What is a Birth Chart?
A birth chart — also called a natal chart — is a map of the sky at the exact moment you were born. It shows where the Sun, Moon and each planet were positioned relative to Earth, and which part of the sky was rising on the eastern horizon (your Ascendant or Rising sign).

Your birth chart is unique to you. Even twins born minutes apart can have noticeably different charts if the Rising sign shifts.

Your Sun sign — the zodiac sign you look up by your birthday — is just one factor in your birth chart. A complete chart includes ten planets (including the Sun and Moon), twelve houses and dozens of aspects (the angular relationships between planets).

What if I Don't Know My Exact Birth Time?
